What is an outreach sequence in recruiting?
An outreach sequence is a planned series of messages to a candidate: an introduction, one or two follow-ups, and a respectful close, spaced over days. Sequences work when each message is personal and stops the moment the candidate replies; they fail as spam when they're templated blasts.
The craft is in the first message: specific to the person, honest about the role, short. Follow-ups exist because busy people forget, not because pressure works.
Sending matters too: messages from a real recruiter's inbox get replies; messages from a platform domain get filtered. On LinkedIn, no legitimate tool automates sending: LinkedIn bans it, so drafts are prepared and humans send them.
