What is AI sourcing?
AI sourcing is using AI systems to find, rank and explain candidate matches for a role, instead of manually searching job boards and networks. Done properly it covers the whole top of the funnel: understanding the role, searching the market, ranking matches with reasons, and drafting the first outreach.
The useful distinction is between AI-assisted search (a better query box) and an AI sourcer (a system that does the work end to end and shows its reasoning). The second saves the hours; the first saves keystrokes.
Claims to watch: "live data" (profile freshness always has a cadence; ask what it is), and any promise to automate LinkedIn messaging, which LinkedIn bans and punishes with account restrictions.
